ZCGP150P
Monogram ZCGP150P 15-Inch Compactor Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Drawer closing and the switch it trips
- Ram drive, motor and drive path under load
- Keyed or push-button start control
- Bin cleanliness and bag fit across 1.40 cu ft
ZCGP150P is a legacy Monogram 15-inch built-in compactor. It measures 15 x 34 1/8 x 24 inches and holds 1.40 cubic feet, which is wider and deeper than the 12-inch units in the same line.
With a larger bin, a compactor works against more material, so we pay close attention to the ram drive and the motor under load. We confirm the drawer reaches its closed position and trips the switch, test the start control, and look for debris on the tracks. Anything that scrapes, hums without moving or stops mid-cycle gets traced to a specific part before we quote.
We copy the model and serial from the label to be certain of the part. A written price comes before work starts, and every repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Key features
- 15-inch built-in compactor
- 15 x 34 1/8 x 24 in
- 1.40 cu ft capacity
- Legacy Monogram model
What does 1.40 cu ft mean for a compactor like the ZCGP150P?
It is the listed bin capacity. A fuller bin puts more load on the ram, so we test the drive under a realistic load, not just empty, which shows slow or struggling movement that an empty run would hide.
The drawer will not shut all the way. Is that a repair?
Often, yes. A drawer that does not close fully will not trip the switch, so no cycle starts. We look at the tracks, the drawer front, anything stuck under it and the switch that senses closure.
Is a 15-inch compactor the same as a 12-inch one?
No. The 15-inch ZCGP150P is wider and deeper than the 12-inch units, so the bin, drawer and many parts differ. We confirm the model on the label before ordering anything.
