Monogram ZCGS150L Stainless Compactor Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Ram drive and motor strain at 1.40 cu ft
- Drawer tracks and closing switch
- Start and lock controls
- Bin condition and odor buildup
ZCGS150L is a Monogram stainless steel built-in compactor, 14 7/8 inches wide. It measures 14 7/8 x 33 3/4 x 24 inches and holds 1.40 cubic feet. It is built to slide into a 15-inch cabinet opening beneath the counter.
On a compactor of this size the usual repair paths are the drawer, the switch that confirms it is closed, the start control and the ram drive. We start with the simplest, the drawer and the tracks, and work toward the motor. If a cycle begins and then stops, we test the unit with a load and listen for where the drive slows.
The label gives us the model and serial, which we read before ordering anything. We write the price down before work, and a 30-day workmanship warranty covers the repair.

Does the ZCGS150L fit a 15-inch opening?
It is listed at 14 7/8 inches wide, so it is built for a 15-inch cabinet opening. We confirm the opening size if you need the unit moved or replaced.
Why does my compactor hum but not move?
A hum with no motion points to a worn drive, a binding ram or a motor that cannot start under load. We test each in turn.
Can you handle stainless scratches?
We protect the finish while we work, but existing scratches stay as they are. We tell you before the visit if a panel is likely to be involved.
