Monogram ZGU3650BB Updraft Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model

- Glass or trim condition around the cutout
The ZGU3650BB is a Monogram 36 inch black updraft cooktop with five burners. It is 3 inches high and 19 3/4 inches deep, and the listed variant is ZGU3650BBBG. The brand lists it from 2000 to 2021 and it is now obsolete.
A low-profile cooktop like this drops into a counter cutout and is serviced mostly from beneath. We confirm the fuel type from the label first, then test each of the five burners and its control. For a burner that does not respond, we look at the ignition path and the control before replacing anything.
Replacement parts for older Monogram cooktops can vary by production run, so we read the full model and serial from the label before we order. You get a written price first, and the repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What does updraft mean on the ZGU3650BB?
The brand lists it as a black updraft cooktop with five burners. Updraft models rely on overhead ventilation instead of a built-in vent, so we check that setup only if cooking smoke is the complaint.
One burner on my 36 inch cooktop does not respond. What do you check?
We test the control and ignition for that position first, then the burner assembly. We confirm the fuel and wiring from the label so the right part is ordered.
Is the ZGU3650BB still serviceable?
Usually yes, though it is listed as obsolete. We check which parts can be sourced, then give you a written price so you can decide before any work.
