Monogram ZV48SSJ Wide Hood Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Blower motor and speeds
- Lights and switches
- Grease filters
- Duct connection
The ZV48SSJ is a current Monogram 48-inch stainless steel professional hood. At 48 inches wide, 18 inches high, and 25 inches deep, it is built for the large ranges and cooktops that need broad coverage.
A wide hood moves a lot of air across a wide cooking surface, so weak airflow is usually obvious. We test each blower speed, check the filters for grease, and look at the duct connection for leaks or buildup. Lights and switches come after that, with attention to the long span of the stainless body. We also look at the hood’s fastening to the wall or ceiling, since a long body puts more load on each fastener.
We start by reading the model and serial on the label. Our price is written first, and our repair carries a 30-day warranty.

How wide is the ZV48SSJ?
It is 48 inches wide, 18 inches high, and 25 inches deep. We use these figures to make sure the hood we service matches the parts we order.
The hood seems weaker than it used to be. What now?
We check blower speeds, filters, and the duct connection for restrictions or leaks. Then we write down the cause and price before any repair. We also check that the filters are seated properly.
Do you work on lights too?
Yes. We check the lamp, socket, and switch together, because a dim light is not always a bad lamp, and quote the work in writing.
