ZV670WSS
Monogram ZV670WSS Taper Hood Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Halogen lamps and sockets
- Blower motor speeds
- Filter grease load
- Control switches
The ZV670WSS is a Monogram 36-inch professional taper-sided hood with two halogen lamps. The tapered sides narrow toward the top, and the model is retired from new sales.
We start with the lighting because halogen lamps and their sockets wear with heat. Then we test the blower at every speed, listen for noise, and inspect the filters and control switches. A hood in a kitchen with heavy cooking carries a lot of grease, so we also look at filter loading and the duct above. We also look at the stainless panels for heat discoloration around the lamps, which shows how hard they have been working.
The label gives us the model and serial, and we confirm them before ordering parts. You see a written price first, and we cover the work for 30 days.
Key features
- 36-inch professional taper-sided hood
- Two halogen lamps
- Retired, not sold new
What does taper-sided mean?
The sides of the hood slope inward toward the top, unlike the straight-sided hoods in the same line. We confirm the label to avoid ordering parts meant for the other shape.
Is the ZV670WSS available new?
Not any longer; it is retired from new sales. We service it and match parts to the model and serial on the label. Those parts differ between hood shapes.
My lights flicker. What do you check?
We look at the lamp, socket, and switch. Halogen lamps run hot, so loose or heat-worn contacts are a common find. We quote any repair in writing first.
