ZGU48N4G
Monogram ZGU48N4G Grill-Griddle Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Grill and griddle ignition on natural gas
- Four open burners lighting evenly
- Grease on electrodes and burner tubes
- Spark module and valve response
The ZGU48N4G is a Monogram 48 inch professional gas cooktop with four burners, a grill and a griddle, running on natural gas. It measures 47 7/8 inches wide, 8 7/16 inches high and 26 5/8 inches deep, and the listed variants are ZGU48N4GDSS and ZGU48N4GHSS.
Natural gas makes the fuel side simpler than propane, so most calls on this cooktop come down to cleanliness and ignition. We clear the grill and griddle burners, test their sparks, and then check the flame on each. On the four open burners the cap, port and electrode checks come first, followed by the module if several are slow.
Reading the label before we order avoids trim mismatches between variants. A written price comes first, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Is the ZGU48N4G the natural gas twin of the ZGU48L4G?
Yes, the N marks natural gas and the L version marks propane. The layout is the same, but fuel-side parts differ, so we confirm the label before ordering.
My griddle burner takes a long time to ignite. What do you check?
We look at grease around the electrode first, then the spark and the burner ports. If those are clean, the valve and the spark module are next.
How do you test a multi-zone cooktop?
We light every burner in turn, check the grill and griddle separately, and watch each flame for color and height before we call it done.
