ZISS420D
Monogram ZISS420D European Stainless Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Lever, chute and flow
- Filter and inlet valve
- Display versus real temperature
- Both door gaskets
- Fan and defrost
Listed for 2002 through 2021, the ZISS420D is a Monogram 42 inch built-in side-by-side refrigerator with a dispenser. It measures 42 inches wide, 84 inches high and 25 3/4 inches deep, with 24.61 cubic feet of capacity, an upfront electronic digital temperature display and a European stainless steel style. The brand shows seven variants.
The dispenser gives us a water path to check along with the cooling system. We check the filter, inlet valve and lever when water is slow, and the gaskets, fan and defrost system when the cabinet warms. If the display and a thermometer disagree, we test the sensor feeding the display.
Seven variants share this base number, so we match the label before ordering. The price is written down first, and our repair has a 30-day workmanship warranty.

How many variants does the ZISS420D have?
The brand shows seven variants, and the label gives the full number we use for parts. They differ by finish and hinge side, so the exact number matters for doors and trim.
What is the European stainless style?
It is the finish style the brand names for this model. It does not change how we diagnose the cooling or water systems, but it tells us which door and trim parts to match.
How much capacity does it have?
The brand lists 24.61 cubic feet in a cabinet 42 inches wide, 84 inches high and 25 3/4 inches deep. We use those figures when we plan removal from the opening.
