ZISW480D
Monogram ZISW480D Built-In Fridge Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Controls holding the temperature you set
- Dispenser flow and the valve behind it
- Freezer-side evaporator fan and frost pattern
- Condenser airflow and compressor run time
ZISW480D belongs to the legacy Monogram line of 48-inch built-in side-by-sides with a dispenser. It measures 48 x 84 x 23 7/8 inches, holds 30.70 cubic feet and uses upfront electronic temperature controls, with an energy-efficient listing.
Large built-ins like this depend on steady airflow, so frost on the freezer side or a loud fan gets our attention early. We then compare the control setting with a thermometer in each section, look at condenser airflow and how long the compressor runs, and test the water valve and filter path if the dispenser is part of the issue.
We copy the model and serial from the data label before ordering anything, which keeps us from mixing up this unit with the similar ZISW48D. A written price comes first, and the repair is backed by a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Why does my ZISW480D freezer side frost up?
Frost usually points to a weak evaporator fan or a defrost operation that is not clearing the coil. We look at the coil, the fan and the door seals together, since warm air leaking in makes frost worse.
Is the ZISW480D the same as the ZISW48D?
No. They are different listings with different sizes: this one is 30.70 cubic feet and 23 7/8 inches deep, while the ZISW48D is 29.80 cubic feet and 24 3/4 inches deep. We use the label to be sure.
How long will you be in my kitchen?
A diagnosis on a 48-inch built-in generally takes part of a visit. We tell you what we found, give a written price, and only then proceed with the repair.
