ZV36SSJ
Monogram ZV36SSJ Stainless Hood Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Blower motor and speeds
- Switches and lights
- Filter condition
- Duct connection
The ZV36SSJ is a current Monogram 36-inch stainless steel professional hood, 36 inches wide, 18 inches high, and 25 inches deep. Its 18-inch height is a slimmer profile than the ZV36RSF.
On a hood of this type we start with the blower: every speed, any vibration, and the airflow at the filters. Switches and lights come next, then a look at filter condition and the duct connection. Greasy buildup and loose duct joints are the easy things to rule in or out before we look at parts. Because this hood sits lower than the ZV36RSF, we check the clearance above the cooking surface as well.
The label’s model and serial decide which parts we order, so we read them first. You get a written price before we start, and our workmanship is covered for 30 days.

What is the size of the ZV36SSJ?
It is 36 inches wide, 18 inches high, and 25 inches deep. We use those numbers to tell it apart from similar 36-inch Professional hoods.
Why does the hood rattle on high?
We check the blower wheel and motor mount for imbalance or looseness and inspect the duct connection. The cause and price go into a written quote first.
Can you service it if it is above a range?
Yes. We protect the range and surfaces below, cut power to the hood, and work from the front where we can. That keeps your range safe.
