What LCD Screen Locked means

A Monogram LCD wall oven in the ZTS90 family, for example the ZTS90DSSNSS, can lock its touch screen on purpose. Under Settings, the Lock Control option locks the LCD against unwanted screen selections, and the screen stays locked until you touch the Unlock icon. This is a user setting rather than an error code. Owners usually notice it when taps do nothing, and it is easy to mistake for a screen that has stopped working, although the troubleshooting chart treats an LCD that really does not function as a separate matter.

Common causes of LCD Screen Locked

Lock Control turned on in Settings, by you or someone else
Accidental press that engaged the lock
A truly unresponsive screen, which is a different issue

1. Look for the Unlock icon on the LCD. 2. Touch the Unlock icon and wait for the screen to respond. 3. Try a normal selection, such as the clock, to confirm the lock is off. 4. If the Unlock icon does not appear or the screen stays blank, call us.

Is this an error?

No. It is the oven doing exactly what Lock Control asks of it. The screen ignores your selections until you touch the Unlock icon, and then it behaves normally again.

The screen is dark and nothing responds. Is it locked?

A lock still shows the screen. A dark or frozen display is a different problem, and we would check power to the oven and the control instead.

Can the lock return by itself?

Only if Lock Control is switched on again in Settings. If it keeps locking without anyone touching the setting, tell us when it happens and what you were doing, so we can look at the touch panel.
