What Sabbath Mode means
On Monogram LCD wall ovens in the ZTS90 family, such as the ZTS90DSSNSS, Sabbath mode is a deliberate setting and not an error. While it is on, the oven lights and tones are disabled and only Traditional Bake is available. The owner's troubleshooting chart lists it under an oven that does not work or appears not to work, because nothing sounds and no lights come on. Other Monogram wall ovens, the ZET and ZGP lines, reach a similar option through an SF menu instead of Settings.
Common causes of Sabbath Mode
- Sabbath turned on in the Settings menu
- A holiday setting left on after use
- Confusion with a true no-heat condition
1. Open Settings on the LCD and look at the Sabbath option. 2. Turn Sabbath mode off. 3. Start a normal bake and confirm the lights and tones return. 4. If the oven still does not heat with Sabbath off, call us.
- If heat is missing with Sabbath off, we test the bake element circuit and the control
- Silence alone is not proof of a problem, so we confirm what mode the oven is really in
- We check the door switch and temperature sensor before suggesting any part

Why is my oven silent with no lights?
Sabbath mode turns off the lights and tones and limits cooking to Traditional Bake, so the oven can seem dead. Open Settings on the LCD and check the Sabbath option first.
Is it safe to leave Sabbath mode on?
It is meant for use around the observance. Outside it, you lose convection modes, lights and signals, so most owners turn it off once the observance ends.
Do other Monogram ovens have it?
Yes, though the ZET wall ovens and ZGP ranges reach it through an SF menu rather than Settings. The key steps differ between families, so we match them to your exact model number.
Still unsure about Sabbath Mode?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
