What F7 means
On Monogram 30-inch single and double convection wall ovens in the ZET1 and ZET2 series, such as the ZET1PL1SS and ZET2SL1SS, F7 means the control detects a shorted key, as if a pad on the control were pressed all the time. The cause documented is the logic display assembly, in particular a rubber button pad that has shifted out of alignment. F7 is suppressed from the display. You will see pads that do not respond, odd behavior when you touch the panel, or an oven that will not start.
Common causes of F7
- Rubber button pad out of alignment
- Pad pressed continuously by a stuck key
- Logic display assembly reading a key as shorted
- Residue or moisture at the panel
1. Make sure nothing is leaning on or covering the control panel. 2. Wipe the panel gently with a dry soft cloth. 3. Turn the oven off and try the controls again. 4. If pads still misbehave, stop and call us.
- We first check whether the button pad is just misaligned, which is a smaller repair than a new board.
- If the alignment is correct, we test the logic display assembly itself.
- You get a written price before work, with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Other Wall Oven codes
What does F7 mean?
The control sees a key that appears to be pressed all the time. It is a stored code and the display does not show it.
Can I fix a misaligned pad myself?
We advise against opening the control. Cleaning the surface is fine, but alignment is a technician job.
Will the board need replacing?
Only if the pad alignment is right and the assembly still reads shorted.
Still seeing F7?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
