Monogram ZEU769TC Knob Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Knob that clicks while the element stays cold
- Element that never cycles down
- Loose knob or worn shaft
- Chipped glass near a burner area
The ZEU769TC is a 36 1/8-inch Monogram electric cooktop with infinite heat rotary controls, listed from 2001 to 2021. ZEU769TCWW is the listed variant, and the unit measures 36 1/8 by 3 1/4 by 21 inches.
We begin with the switches behind the knobs, since a worn infinite switch can click and still deliver no power, or hold an element on full. After that we check the elements for continuity and the terminal block for heat damage. The glass is inspected too, because chips near an element can spread. We also tell you which parts are affected, so the repair price matches the actual work.
The exact model and serial come from the label, which we check before ordering. You get a written price before work begins, and repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.

The element is always on high. Why?
That often means the infinite switch is no longer cycling the element, so it stays on full output. We test the switch and the element before replacing anything, and explain which part failed.
What is ZEU769TCWW?
ZEU769TCWW is how the variant of this cooktop is listed. We confirm which version you have from the label before ordering, so the switches, elements or glass we order fit your exact cooktop.
Can chipped glass be left alone?
We recommend a check. A chip near an element can spread under heat, so we confirm the part for your number and price a replacement in writing if the glass needs to be changed.
