In the order we see them across Houston homes.

01

02

Oven heats unevenly or not at all

05

Convection fan noisy or silent

06

Griddle or grill side heats unevenly

Monogram professional ranges sit at the top of the line: 30-, 36-, 48- and 60-inch models with gas or dual-fuel cooking, heavy grates, and in larger sizes a griddle or grill. Some earlier models are no longer sold but remain common in custom Houston kitchens.

Humidity and cooking grease go together here. Grease works into burner ports and igniters, humid air corrodes spark leads, and a hood that is not pulling hard enough lets heat and steam wear down controls above the range. Gas lines and connectors also deserve a look after a house has settled or been remodeled.

We check gas supply and connections, igniters, spark module, oven sensor, element or burner, door seal and fan, then measure the oven against a thermometer. We explain what is confirmed, what cannot be concluded from the sign alone, and what the repair costs before we start.

05Professional Range questions
My burner clicks but will not light. What is wrong?

Moisture or food on the igniter, a clogged burner port or a failed spark module all cause this. We clean and test the igniter first, because it is the quickest check, then move to the module and gas path.

Is my oven really at the temperature it shows?

Not always. A drifting sensor, a worn element or a loose door gasket can make the oven run off. We compare the display with a separate thermometer before replacing a part, and tell you how far off it is.

What is the difference between gas and dual-fuel?

A gas range burns gas on top and in the oven. A dual-fuel range uses gas burners with an electric oven. The two need different supply checks, so we confirm which you have before the visit.
