What C1 means

C1 is a communication code on Monogram ZGP professional gas ranges such as the ZGP486ND and ZGP364ND. It means the oven control lost its link to the main relay board, the board that switches the oven's loads on command. Without that link the control cannot carry out a bake or broil request. The control stores the code, and technicians read it from a test menu that is available only for a short time after power-up. It is not something an owner needs to open.

It switches the oven's heating and other loads when the control asks. C1 says the control asked and got no answer, so heating cannot be relied on.

Will the display still work?

Often yes, because the display belongs to the control. The oven may accept settings but fail to act on them. That mismatch is typical of a communication code.

Is C1 urgent?
